Read the book, then join us for the film and a lively group chat afterwards, led by our hosts Charlene Lydon and Chelsea Morgan Hoffmann in Dublin’s fabulous Light House Cinema.

Consistently noted as one of Britain’s greatest films, prolific kitchen sink maestro, Ken Loach adapts Barry Hines’ A Kestrel for a Knave. This sensitive kitchen sink drama tells the story of a young working class boy from a troubled home who builds a special friendship with a kestrel who he names Kes. Screening in Light House Cinema at 6.30pm on Monday 29th June followed by the usual informal chat in the bar to discuss the adaptation.
